Q: Is this a formal event?
A: This is not a formal event, so dressing up is optional. Casual attire is fine, however since this is a parents only event, guests can use the opportunity to dress up for a night out.
Q: Is there reserved seating?
A: No, there will be chairs and tables set up to use, but no assigned seating. This is meant as a an event to mingle and socialize throughout the evening.
Q: Will I be getting a paper ticket before the event?
A: There will be no paper tickets. You will check in at the registration table at the event and receive your bidder package.
Q: I noticed the “child(s) name/teacher” section on the order form. Is this event for Maywood Hills families and staff only?
A: This is not a Maywood families and staff only event. We’d LOVE to have grandparents, aunts/uncles, neighbors, Maywood alumns, friends and community members attend! They can leave those lines blank or enter “n/a.”
Q: Can I volunteer and also attend the event?
A: Depending on our needs for the evening, there is a chance to be able to help and still enjoy the evening. We will also need help leading up to the event. If you are interested, please get in touch!
Q: Is it too late to procure items for the auction?
A: In order to be included in our 2016 Auction Catalog, the procurement forms must be received by Friday, January 29, 2016. Any items received after this date will be included in the auction, but item and donor information will not appear in any pre-printed materials.
Q: I am donating some low-dollar amount items to a class auction basket. Do I really need to fill out a procurement form?
A: We want to make sure we recognize all of our generous donors, but if you would rather not fill out a form, you can absolutely just send in your item(s). Be sure to let us know somehow what classroom or basket they belong in.
