Maywood Hills Science Fair

It is time for the Maywood Hills Science Fair, Art Gallery and Book Fair extravaganza!! June 4th 2019

Be on the look-out for the bright green Science Fair Registration form. Just sign the form and the PTA will send home a tri-fold board for your student to decorate/display all of their science learning.

There are many types of science projects… think CADRE! Students can put together a scientific Collection, build a scientific Apparatus (or model), create a Demonstration, do a Research project or complete an Experiment. The possibilities are endless! Just do some science at home, create a display, bring it to school, share it with your classmates, and then join us all on Tuesday, June 4th for a great night of science!

Please sign up to help monitor a science classroom, help with gallery night, or help sell items at the book fair by clicking on the following link.

About the Science Docent Program

Our 2018-2019 Science Docent program is led by Ryanne Spielman. Together they are working to ensure there is a science docent in every classroom, collaborating on expanding and improving our Science Fair and organizing our science supplies to make sure we have a robust Science program!

Another exciting way to be involved in your child’s classroom is to become a Science Docent! Science docents spend time sharing the excitement of science with students through hands-on experiments. No experience required. We’ll provide you with a simple lesson and supplies, or you can come up with your own ideas. If you are interested in becoming a Science Docent for a classroom or would like more information on any of the above information, please email Pamela and Jennifer at: sciencedocent@maywoodhillspta.com
