Description: Bollywood dance is a vibrant and energetic way for kids to express themselves, improve coordination, and learn about Indian culture through fun and engaging movements.
Note, this is a volunteer-led club so if your child needs support we recommend a parent or another responsible adult be present to help the child be successful.
There will be an optional performance at the Festival of Cultures, Friday April 24th 6-8pm

Hello, our future world leaders~
Join Ms. Nam and Mrs. Barros as we explore our world and experience our unique cultures!
Learn presentation skills and practice public speaking along with having a lot of fun activities!
Our future world leaders will be participating in the Festival of Cultures on April 24th, 2026.
Students need to be able to participate in the evening on April 24th for the Festival of Cultures event.

Description: The Board Game Club is a welcoming space where students can connect, think creatively, and have fun. Each week, members explore a variety of games—from quick, lighthearted favorites to strategic challenges that spark problem-solving skills.

Description: Help Mrs. Huizenga, Mrs. Sader, Ms. Miceli and Mrs. White make Maywood more beautiful! Garden Club members weed, plant, harvest and shovel compost in the gardens and food forests around Maywood Hills. Spring Garden Club meets on Thursdays: April 16, 23, 30 and May 7 and 14: 3:40 - 4:30 pm. Registration is limited to 60 students. We meet outside, rain or shine.
Pickup Location: Directly outside of library doors.

Description: All 3rd grade students are invited to join the Carnatic Singing Club!
Sessions will be led by Sohan Vaddi, a Bothell High School student, and assisted by Mrs. Harris
Carnatic music is a musical form originated in South India renowned internationally for its intricate melodies and rhythms. It was culminated during the 15th century, and is typically taught through a step-by-step system that builds musical understanding and discipline. In this club, students will receive teaching on the sarali swaras, the fundamental exercises that form the base of Carnatic music.

Description: Maywood Marimba Club is looking for 4th and 5th graders who love to make music, work together and perform as an ensemble. The marimba ensemble will have multiple performance opportunities throughout the year including school assemblies and evening concerts.

Description: This is a hands-on mechanical engineering class where students will build and design with Legos and receive an introduction to levers, gears, pulleys, cranks and more using batteries and motors to bring their creations to life!

New Registration Process
This session, we will do a pre-registration to ensure we have enough parent volunteers to support the programs prior to payment being received by the provider.
Dec 5: Registration open now until January 9 or when class reaches capacity. Please do not reach out to providers directly at this time.
Dec 12: Once class is fully approved and volunteers secured, enrichment@maywoodhillspta.com will send you a provider registration link to complete payment and secure your space.
Volunteers
We need volunteer after school program coordinators for each class in our after school programs. Without these volunteers, we cannot operate classes per our insurance requirements. A PTA chaperone MUST be present in the class for the entire duration of class. PTA chaperones are eligible for significant provider discounts, with some providers giving free student enrollment and a guaranteed spot in the class.
To volunteer as a PTA Chaperone, you are/have:
over 18 years of age
a PTA member, join here
a NSD Level 2 background check completed

All volunteers will follow these guidelines for chaperoning.
Participation Policy
When completing registration, you will be asked to confirm participation policy including parent and student expectations.
Scholarships
Your PTA has scholarships available for families that request financial assistance. Please reach out to Megan Ham, our Dean of Students, at mham@nsd.org.
